Invitation to a Ditch Work Day and Tour
Sunday, April 27th, 9:30 – 12:00

 

Dear fellow Stewards of Water in the West,

 

Our beloved Ditch needs us! The water is more precious than ever. And perhaps you’ve never seen the Head Gate and beautiful upper parts of the Ditch? The massive repairs to the Elephant Buttress Tunnel have been accomplished at last and the results are a safer and stronger SLD.

On Sunday, April 27, we are planning a Work Day to begin to clear the Ditch before the water comes down. We will meet at 9:30 at the Boulder Canyon Trailhead parking lot on the north side of Canyon.

We plan to work until 12. Please bring loppers or shovels, pitch forks or rakes, depending on the job you want to do. You will also need gloves, hats and/or sun protection, snacks (optional) and water.
